Afghan Aquamarine Crystal Specimen or Cabbing Rough

As with the Tourmaline, aquamarine from Afghanistan is hard to find due to the problems in that region. However as you can see, it has very good tone and colour.

This is a nice crystal of sky-blue aquamarine. The piece has well-defined crystal faces on the sides and varies from clear to heavily-included. It can either be kept as a specimen or used as lapidary rough to create a nice finished cab.

This piece measures 15 x 10 x 7 mm and weighs 8.4 ct/1.7 grams.
