A Large Brilliant Royal-Blue Lapis Lazuli Teardrop

This cab has been cut from top-quality royal blue Lapis Lazuli from the famous mines of Afghanistan. Due to the unsettled nature of the region it is getting more and more difficult to find quality Lapis, and a lot of the material that is being sold is the inferior turquoise-blue grades with calcite streaking. Lapis of this quality will continue to be in short supply.

This stone has been cut into a nice wide teardrop shape. It shows a nice even highlight of gold pyrite crystals across its face.

This piece is free of calcite and will make a unique pendant.
