Terminated Tourmaline Crystal Specimen from AfghanistanAfghani Tourmaline is rare as it's both difficult to obtain due to the problems in the country and because the traders tend to hang on to it. These pieces will continue to be rarities as it's so difficult to source new rough.
This is a short, well-terminated tourmaline crystal. It is a dark olive-green with a closed c-axis, turning it dark brown to black when viewed through the end.
The termination is very sharp and well-defined. This is a great little specimen!
