Bright Green Afghan Tourmaline Cab

This is a bright medium-green freeform gemstone cut from Afghan Tourmaline. It weighs 4.80 carats and measures 11.9 x 8.6 x 4.4 mm.

The stone is clear and bright with a few bubbles, inclusions and silk. The back of the gemstone has been left with the original crystal face which shows interesting patterns through the front of the gem.

This gemstone has a beautiful high polish and shows bright flashes when moved. It will make a fantastic ring or pendant.

Tourmaline from Afghanistan is renouned for its vibrant colours and overall brilliance. Most other tourmalines tend to be muddy or dark. The supply of Afghan Tourmaline has improved slightly over the past year but prices are rising dramatically as the world realizes the quality of the gems.
