Rare Bi-Colour Blue/Green Afghan Tourmaline Cab

Here is a rare and stunning example of Bi-Colour Afghan Tourmaline. This gemstone changes from Indicolite steel blue to bright green with a well-defined transition zone in the middle. It weighs 3.63 carats and measures 10.9 x 6.6 x 4.6 mm.

The stone is brilliant with very few inclusions and no silk. The black lines are insignificant surface fractures on the back of the gemstone where the original crystal face has been left. The curved lines are actually the crystal face striations being magnified through the gemstone.

This tourmaline gemstone has a beautiful high polish. It will make a fantastic ring or pendant.
