Fine Medium Blood-Red Natural Ruby Stud Earrings

These silver and ruby stud earrings were hand-crafted in Cambodia. They sport a pair of bright natural fine medium blood-red rubies approximately 4.0 mm in diameter and estimated 0.8 carats total weight. The rubies are transparent fine medium blood-red and eye-clean with a reasonable polish and have very good brilliance.

The rubies change colour depending on the orientation and light source they are viewed under. These rubies change colour from blood-red in flourescent and natural daylight to a pure deep red in tungsten light. The colour shift in this pair of rubies is very subtle.

The rubies are genuine gemstones mined at Pailin in Cambodia. Like almost all rubies they have been heat-treated to improve their colour and clarity and were cut locally in Cambodia.
