Here is a small mixed parcel of bright and lively Afghan Tourmaline crystals. These are a good example of what Afghan Tourmaline is famous for - nice open-c axis crystals with bright colours. Unfortunately for everyone the situation in that country is making it hard to get this material.

There is a nice mix of hot pink and light olive colours here. The crystal rinds are thin and the pieces should have good yield. This parcel is being sold as lapidary rough for cabbing but there are a few pieces that are clean enough to be facet rough. As the colours in the photos show, this material will make some very nice finished gemstones.

There are 8 pieces in this parcel ranging from 1.7 carats to 5.7 carats. The smallest piece measures 6.3x6x5.8 mm and the largest is 12.2x9.1x7.8 mm.
